Our school building now has an accessible entrance on the back of the house attached to a ramp and a handicapped parking space.  Our first floor practice studios, office, and bathroom all have 36" doors with paddle handles, though the bathroom needs further updates to become fully user-friendly.

Our front office is open for customer service and phones are answered:
Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
The West Bank School of Music offers music instruction seven days a week, during the daytime and evenings. Your lesson time will depend on what you arrange with your teacher.

At 1813 South Sixth Street in the West Bank (also known as the Cedar Riverside area) of Minneapolis, West Bank School of Music in centrally located near the University of Minnesota, Highways 94 and 35, Hiawatha Ave, the Cedar Riverside Light Rail station, Franklin Ave, and downtown Minneapolis. We are near the #16 and #22 bus lines.

From the West: Hwy 94 East bound to 35W North. Take the Washington Ave Exit. Turn right onto Washington which bends to the South and becomes Cedar Ave. Continue on Cedar to 6th then left on 6th to 1813 South 6th.

From the South: Take 35W North. Exit at Washington Ave. Turn right onto Washington which bends to the South and becomes Cedar Ave. Continue on Cedar to 6th then left on 6th to 1813 South 6th..

From the East: Hwy 94 West to the Cedar Ave (Minneapolis) exit. Right onto Cedar to 6th. Left on 6th to 1813 South 6th.

From the North: Hwy 280 South to Hwy 94 west. Hwy 94 West to the Cedar Ave (Minneapolis) exit. Right onto Cedar to 6th. Left on 6th to 1813 South 6th.

Parking

There is a one-hour time limit on parking available on the street in front of the school. Generally this is adequate for private lessons. If you are in a class or a band, we recommend that you park in our lot which is in the backyard of the school house. If you have any questions about parking, please speak with a staff member in our office, or consult your instructor. Do not park in the paved lot immediately to the West of the school as you will get towed.
