Make payment in full before the Policies PRIVATE LESSONSLesson Usage Private lessons must be used in the quarter in which they are purchased. Consult with your teacher and the WBSM office on your schedule to choose the right plan for you. Unused lessons will be forfeit at the end of each quarter unless unusual circumstances allow for an exception. Lesson Refund Lessons will be refunded in the quarter in which they are purchased on a pro-rated basis depending on how many were used and what size package was purchased. A $10 administrative fee will be subtracted from all refunds. Students can choose to keep their unused lessons as credit for future lessons or classes for up to six months. Lesson Cancellation To cancel private lessons, contact your instructor and the WBSM office 24 hours prior to your scheduled lesson time. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, your instructor reserves the right to charge you for the m If your instructor cancels a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, you can request a makeup lesson free of charge. Registration fee For each student taking private lessons, WBSM charges a $15 registration fee. The registration fee may be waived for those who demonstrate financial need. CLASSES Student Cancels Enrollment You must inform the office two days prior to the second meeting of the class to receive a partial refund or credit for the class. A refund or credit will be issued on a pro-rated basis, minus a $10 administrative fee. Credit for dropped classes must be used within 6 months of issue. School Cancels Class In the event that WBSM has to cancel a class, we will issue a pro-rated refund to all students for any remaining class sessions. TUITION ASSISTANCE Tuition assistance is available for current students through the Warren Park Scholarship Fund. Established in honor of West Bank School of Music founder, Warren Park, the scholarship helps students demonstrating financial need pursue their passion for music. The scholarship provides between 10-40% off each session’s tuition and is granted as funds allow. Application deadlines are May 1, August 1, November 1 and February 1 for summer, fall, winter and spring quarters, respectively. New students who demonstrate financial need may also request a waiver of the one-time $15 registration lesson fee. In addition to financial assistance through scholarships, the West Bank School of Music offers significant discounts on private lessons to qualified families with school aged children, veterans of the U.S. military, and people receiving Social Security Disability benefits. MISCELLANEOUS Gift Certificates Gift Certificates are available for various sized packages of lessons and also for classes and workshops. They are good for one year from the date of issue. Privacy Policy Information collected by WBSM will not be shared, sold or rented with any other organization. We will respect your requests regarding use of your information. Photographs taken during lessons or WBSM events may be used for publicity purposes on our website or in promotional materials.
